Steve Jobs doesn't like WebM !!!

Steve Jobs always have reasons to reject everything. Some people have asked about his comments on the latest open-source video codec VP8, aka the WebM project. He simply replied by a link. That link is talking about WebM is not ready for primetime. The specification is a mess.

That article has mentioned the VP8 video codec decode slower than that of H.264. It’s also a big question which “With regard to patents, VP8 copies way too much from H.264 for anyone sane to be comfortable with it, no matter whose word is behind the claim of being patent-free,” Whatever this is, we only hope VP8 won’t end up like Flash and not supported by the Apple. Otherwise, we would need to switch and get away from the Apple products.
