How many Yottas do you have?

As long as I have had a passion for computers I have found that others with this passion like to sling around the computer terms. And i'm even fantasized about storing data in huge amounts. I nearly have a terabyte collection of software and movies. It is very common amongst the nerd pack to brag about how many Gigs (gigabytes) they have in terms of “how big” their hard drive is or how much storage they currently have; or how much memory installed in their PCs. I would surely bet that no one would have a yottabyte.

what is a yottabyte ?
2 to the 80th power bytes, which is approximately 10 to the 24th power (1,000,000,000,000,000,000
,000,000) bytes. A yottabyte is equal to 1,024 zettabytes.
* 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes — 10008, or 1024

The term "yobibyte" (YiB), using a binary prefix, is used for the corresponding multiple of 1024.

The name yotta was chosen because it's the second-to-last last letter of the Latin alphabet and also sounds like the Greek letter iota.

1,024 bytes is a kilobyte
1,024 kilobytes is a megabyte
1,024 megabytes is a gigabyte
1,024 gigabytes is a terabyte
1,024 terabytes is a petabyte
1,024 petabyes is an exabyte
1,024 exabytes is a zettabyte
1,024 zettabytes is a yottabyte

How much is too much?

* 200,ooo Pictures/MP3s in a Terabyte
* 204,800,000 Pictures/MP3s in a Petabyte
* 209,715,200,000 Pictures/MP3s in a Exabyte
* 214,748,364,800,000 Pictures/MP3s in a Zettabyte
* 219,902,325,555,200,000 Pictures/MP3s in Yottabyte (Yottabyte is one septillion)
